To Do List: Work in Workouts at Your Workplace

If you find it challenging to exercise because you're too busy, no sweat. Make the world your gym by following these tips:


•  Add to your commute. Park your car far away from your workplace. When you reach the entrance to work, walk back to your car a couple of times. If you take a train, bus or subway to the job, get off a few stops before the one that's closest to the office.

•  Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Do this every chance you get. Use a restroom on another floor, for example.

•  Deliver workplace messages in person. Don't always rely on email or the phone.

•  Walk on business trips. Choose a hotel that's walking-friendly and plot routes on foot instead of taking a taxi to and from appointments.

•  Pace around your workplace. Instead of sitting, make conference calls a walking affair.
