Back Sprain

A couple of days ago, I felt a twinge in my lower back, but I brushed it off thinking it was nothing because the twinge vanished as fast as it had appeared. After I got home, I went about my normal routine--eat dinner, clean up, shower, sit around and watch tv...when that twinge came back and just settled in my lower back. At that point, I did what every other person is likely to do in this day and age; I checked my symptoms online for a possible diagnosis.

I figured I had strained my back. That night, I followed the online outline for treating back pain; I used a heating pad to try to warm up my muscles and took 2 tablets of 200mg ibuprofen (total 400mg) after dinner, as my doctor had suggested last time I strained my back. I tried to take it easy that night and rest. The next morning, my back pain was gone.

Now, instead of being a couch potato,  I try to stay active on a regular basis with back-strengthening stretches and moderate exercise. On weekends, I jog around the park to keep my body active and healthy.
