Rubbermaid Adult Aluminum Crutch
Price:
$29.58
Item Number:
57813
Manufacturer:
Rubbermaid
Manufacturer Part No:
023601097606
Quantity:
Pushbutton Adult Aluminum Crutches
Brand:
Rubbermaid
Size:
1 ea (1 pair)
Directions:
Using Crutches: (1) Stand with weight distributed evenly between the strong leg and the two crutches. The knee of the injured leg is bent slightly to keep the foot completely off the floor. (2) Shift all weight to the strong leg while moving the crutches forward several inches (centimeters). As users gain confidence, they may swing the strong leg through to a point several inches (centimeters) ahead for increased movement, if allowed by a physician or therapist. (3) For stairs - if allowed by physician or therapist - hold both crutches in one hand on the opposite side of the banister and hop onto the step with the strong leg. If no banister or handrail is available, leave crutches in their normal position in each hand and putting all the weight on the crutches, hop onto the next step; then bring crutches up along side of foot. Going up the stairs, the strong foot always goes first, followed by the crutches. Going down stairs, place crutches on the next step down, then carefully and slowly follow with strong leg and foot.
